Dr Robert Thompson
Robert has lived in Heswall for the past 33 years.
His two children and four grandchildren also live on Wirral.
Robert recently retired as a consultant physician (rheumatologist) at Aintree University Hospital, Liverpool.
He has first-hand experience of the pressures imposed on the health service by years of under-funding and under-staffing now compounded by BREXIT.
Having long held Liberal Democrat principles, he joined the party just over two years ago, believing that simply supporting from the side-lines was no longer an option.
He has been a campaigner for preservation of the green-belt on Wirral, including in his own neighbourhood of Lower Heswall.
The need for affordable housing will not be met by building luxury houses or golf courses on our precious green belt and agricultural land.
